About Us

My husband Warren and I are wildlife carers of many years in the South East Qld region. LucyWe do all things furred and feathered, although mostly furry creatures these days.  This business arose from a tiny pink baby that came into care about 6 years ago now. Lucy is a swamp wallaby, and she was 220g when she came to me. She was tiny, furless, eyes closed and very very cold. I put her on my belly to start warming her up, and she was so cold it hurt. Poor little midget.

Her skin dried out quickly because of how cold she had been, and how long she had been with a dead mum. I needed something to put on her, but didn't want to use petroleum based creams preserved with parabens or formaldehydes.  So, I did LOTS of research, and made my own. That is the cream I sell today based on olive oil - winter soother. Lucy made it to release 15months later, and hopefully by now has had lots of babies of her own.

Also at the time I had help and advice from a wonderful woman called Lucy McVea. Her website is
